Day 6 ( Observation Week)

The first day of my observation in Phetphadungweingchai school. I observed the Ep 3 class. Every class has the range of 25-37 students. I observed for their English class, the teacher of the English class in Phetphadungweinghai are all foreigners. For this semester, they have 2 Filipinos, 2 Americans. As well as the Chinese language program, they have 2 Chinese Intern students who are teaching for about 2 months.

Teacher Maggie one of the foreign teacher teaching English class.
Teacher Maggie is one of the English teachers here in Phetphadungweingchai school for about 5 months. For today's lesson, the teacher is introducing to the Kindergarten 3 the letter sound "Q". By repetition, the students are able to learn the letter sound of "Q".

Each classroom has 2 teachers, one is the main teacher and the other is the assistant teacher where from case to case basis if the main teacher is not present, the class will still have another teacher, that is already familiar to them.

Thai children are very adorable.
I observed the children varying in the age that they have a short attention span. It is a challenge for the teacher to make the lesson dynamic and interesting, and integrated. So that, if it is not effective for the students to have a one long hour lecture, the teacher should integrate the lesson into something else that the students might be interested but still have the same goal of achieving to learn the lesson for that day. It might be through, songs, or actions, or even games.
